About the Roasted Beets Series

Roasted Beets are one of my favorite foods.

In April of this year (2019), while roasting a variety of beets, I was struck by the vivid colors of the beet-gunk that remained on the baking sheet. I grabbed some mixed-media paper and plopped it face down in the pan… and so began the beet adventure. The beet-goo, aided by other colored paints; creatures emerged – and the beet series was born.
